Observation is a key skill for an architect: inspiration can be gathered from daily life just by inspecting the surroundings with a critical eye. This model is an exercise to train the ability to find beauty in common environments such as the work-home itinerary. Architects are trained for aesthetics, therefore it is not surprising that the selected building is designed by architects, (Dahinden Heim Partner Architekten AG, Winterthur).

Finally, the visual exploration develops into the material and spatial production, with the goal to study and understand what generates such attractiveness for people (for example rhythms, proportions and grids). Moreover, observation and reproduction are very effective methods to learn from what has already been done by professionals.
