Tectonics and Materiality

All materials are to be touched and experienced "first hand", by doing so the working possibilities are endless. The relationship between the material and the person becomes almost personal. Definitions such as hollow and light, massive and hard take space in the language of matters.
Architects and designers use the materials' characteristics to play with their production and to push further the relationship between objects and possibilities. It is when parts come together that the question "how to make it?" finds an answer. Thus, tectonics is defined and researched multiple times, and it is in the art of detailing.

Some results of these experiences are shown here. A HOLLOW square, intertwined with a MASSIVE cylinder; but also a hard material (wood) expressing something light (the core structure) and a light material (foam) defining a hard object (the cube).
